Gun Range Rules

CLUB SPECIFIC GUN RANGE RULES

There is a $50 dollar per year fee to use the gun range, waivers must be signed and have your card stamped by a range officer.

No alcohol or previous alcohol consumption allowed on the gun range at any time.

Any member wishing to use the range must be certified by an officer and sign waiver forms before using the range.

If there is more than one person on your membership card, each eligible member using the range must be certified and have signed a waiver before using the range.

All certified shooting members must always have their stamped membership card on them.

Shooting allowed in the designated shooting area only.

Non-members present during an open or public shoot must be trained by a range officer and sign appropriate forms.

The firing line shall be 60 yards from the backstop as located by the poles even with the front of the shelter.  No shooting from behind the firing line.  Targets are to be placed at the backstop and the shooter will adjust his or her distance from the target based on the firearm they are using.  When shooting from the shelter on the range, the shooters target will be 60 yards away. 

Always make sure no one is behind the backstop before shooting.

The shooting bench must stay at the firing line.

No firearm is ever to be loaded until cleared by an officer at the firing line (open shoot events)

All firearms are to be in an open chamber condition when not shooting.

All muzzles must be pointed in a safe direction when not firing at a target.

No horseplay or improper use of firearms at any time

When entering or exiting the gun range, all firearms must be unloaded.

No shooting from the hip, full-auto shooting, or bump-stocks.

No centerfire rifles higher than .50 caliber permitted.  Deer slugs fired from a shotgun are allowed.  Muzzle loads of any caliber must be loaded at least 6 feet behind the firing line, no flint, cap, or primer can be placed until in control of the firing line.

No shooting of clay pigeons, no incendiary rounds, no tracer rounds.

No glass, tin, aluminum, steel can targets allowed.  Please clean up your targets

Try your best to clean up your brass, its hard on the mower.

Ground targets must be set so that the bullet hits the backstop before hitting the ground.  No target shall be placed outside of the shooting range.

Range hours are 8AM to 8PM or dusk, whichever is sooner, Monday through Saturday.  Noon to 8PM or dusk, whichever is sooner, on Sundays.

All local, state, and federal laws and ordinances concerning the possession, use, and handing of firearms must be strictly obeyed.  It is the shooter’s responsibility to know the ordinances and laws.

Failure to adhere to these rules may result in loss of membership.
